The Hip Hop Group Black Elephant
In this SAMPLE clip you hear the group emphasizing how important family support is. We did a very long interview. We talked about the group , the solos, the past and whats happening now. Lotta love and lessons shared.
The group, which consisted of vocalists Derrick Harriell (Verbal), Element Everest-Blanks (Element), and Dameon Ellzey (Dameon), rose to prominence in the Milwaukee music scene with their albums Hiatus (2002) and Eat This Album (2004).

Their song "Nutrition" was recognized in Radio Milwaukee's 2019 list of the
"10 Most Important Songs in Milwaukee Rap History".
Members have gone on to other successful ventures, including Harriell becoming a celebrated poet and professor, and Everest-Blanks becoming the head of Radio Milwaukee's HYFIN.
